How to fix low/slow production in Watts Premier Water System?
    • S
      steven14Aug 23, 2025
If your Watts Premier Water System has low or slow production, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure you have a minimum of 40 psi incoming water pressure. Watts Premier sells a booster pump if your home water pressure is low. Also, verify that the water supply is turned on and the Adapta Valve is fully open. Other potential causes include crimps in the tubing (check and straighten or replace if necessary), clogged pre-filters (replace them), or a fouled membrane (replace the membrane and flow restrictor).

How to fix low water flow from faucet in Watts Premier Water System?
    • M
      Michael LeonAug 28, 2025
To address low water flow from the faucet of your Watts Premier Water System, begin by checking the air pressure in the tank. For optimal results, use a digital air gauge. The empty tank pressure should be 5-7 psi. To reset the air pressure: turn off the water supply and drain the tank by opening the faucet. Once the water stops flowing, remove the Schrader valve cover and pump air into the tank until water ceases to flow from the faucet. Release air from the Schrader valve until you reach 5-7 psi. Replace the Schrader valve cover and turn the water back on.

Why is there noise/water from faucet vent hole or drain line in Watts Premier Water System?
    • D
      Devon MitchellAug 30, 2025
Noise or water coming from the faucet vent hole or drain line in your Watts Premier Water System can be caused by a crimp or restriction in the drain line. Inspect the tubing and straighten or repair it as necessary. Another cause could be a clogged drain tube. Disconnect the 3/8” black line at the drain, clean it out with a wire, and then reconnect it. Note that blowing air through the line may not always remove the clog.

What to do if there is a small amount of water in storage tank of Watts Premier Water System?
    • S
      Stephanie ParrishSep 2, 2025
If you notice only a small amount of water in the storage tank of your Watts Premier Water System, it could be due to a few reasons. If the system is starting up, it normally takes 6-10 hours to fill the tank. Note that low incoming water pressure and/or temperature can significantly reduce the production rate. Another potential cause is low water pressure, refer to troubleshooting step #1 regarding low water pressure. Also, check for too much air in the tank. The tank air pressure should be 5 psi when empty of water; add air if below 5 psi or bleed air if above 5 psi. Check only when the tank is empty of water.

Why is my Watts Premier RO-PURE Water Filtration Systems producing water so slowly?
    • D
      Donna ElliottSep 4, 2025
If your Watts Premier Water Filtration System is producing water slowly, it might be due to several reasons. First, ensure that your incoming water pressure is at least 40 psi. If it's lower, Watts Premier sells a booster pump. Also, check that the water supply is fully turned on and the Adapta Valve is completely open. Other potential causes include crimped tubing (check and straighten or replace if needed), clogged pre-filters (replace them), or a fouled membrane (replace both the membrane and the flow restrictor).
