ANSI American National Standards Institute,
ASME American Society of Mechanical Engineers
AUX Auxiliary
BAS
Building Automation System, often used interchangeably with EMS
(see below)
Baud Rate
Symbol rate, or simply
the number of distinct symbol changes
(signaling events) transmitted per second. It is not equal to bits per
second, unless each symbol is 1 bit long.

BLDG (Bldg) Building

British Thermal Unit. A unit of energy approximately equal to the heat
