Wavetek
maintains
a continuing program
to make improvements
to their instruments
that
will
take
advantage of the
latest
electronic developments
in circuitry and
components.
Due to the time
required to
document and print instruction
manuals,
it
is
not always
possible
to incorporate these
changes in the
manual.
Wavetek has
manufactured
your instrument,
using metal film 1% tolerance
resistors in place
of
5% carbon
resistors, wherever
practical. This results in
a
substantial
improvement in
the overall
performance of
your instrument.
Therefore, there
may exist
a
discrepancy
between
the resistor
used to manufacture
your instrument and the resistor
called out in the
Parts List
and
Schematic
Diagrams in
this manual.
If field
replacement
of an affected
resistor
does become necessary,
replacement may
be made
in
accordance
with the
manual call outs.
Wavetek,
however,
recommends replacement
with
the same
type of resistor
used in
the
manufacture of
your instrument,
whenever
possible.
