71. Peripheral Awareness Training - Self Paced using the INTERFACE BOX.
Space the four light/switch targets to form a large triangle. The height of the triangle should be
3/4 of the width. A fifth light/switch target is used as a fixation target. The targets should be
plugged into their respective jack connectors. Trainee must fixate on the center target, depress
the target light, and then press the peripheral light. This is repeated for each of the target lights.
Timed for 200 seconds (the "center" light must be used).
72. Peripheral Awareness Testing/Training - Automatic
Same set-up as above, lights will now move automatically. Center button is the fixation point, but
is not pressed. Lights flash "on" for 700 milliseconds at random. Light will not be illuminated.
Timed for 60 sec.
73. Automatic - Speed Of The Lights Automatically Adjusts To Trainee's Ability.
Speed slowly increases after two correct responses and slowly decreases after each incorrect
response. Use 4 light/switch targets. Starting light speed is 50 lights/minute and increases to 999
lights/minute. Timed for 120 seconds.
74. High Speed Eye-hand Coordination - Self Pacing
Use 4 light/switch targets spaced no more then 48 inches apart. Lights must be depressed for a
response within 500 milliseconds. After 600 milliseconds a time out buzz is sounded; trainee
must again depress the light, but no score will be recorded. Timed 60 seconds.
