5. INITIALIZATION
5.1 Safety Information
Observe the safety information in chapter 1.4.
5.2 Operator Information
WARNING
– Only start the air conditioning system when the vehicle
engine is running otherwise the battery will be drained.
– To prevent leaks in the shaft seals or the compressor,
there are two cases to consider:
(1) If the vehicle has not been operational for a longer
period of time, then the compressor does not need to be
switched on as well.
(2) However, if the vehicle will be used for a longer period
of time without using the air conditioner, then it is
recommended that the compressor be started once every
two weeks. Otherwise the shaft seals could be damaged if
the compressor is not operated for a long period of time.
NOTE
– Corresponding to the electrical connection (see figure
3.1), the system should only be turned on or operated
when the vehicle engine is running.
– Note that this drains the vehicle battery.
