The excess flow safety device may have activated. To reset it, turn off all burner control knobs and the cylinder valve. Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder. Turn burner control knobs to “HI” and wait at least 1 minute. Then, turn burner control knobs to “OFF”. Reconnect the regulator to the cylinder. Turn the cylinder valve on slowly. Refer to “Lighting Instructions”.

Why is my Weber Grill experiencing flare-ups?
    • R
      Rhonda CollinsJul 31, 2025
Flare-ups can occur for several reasons. Ensure you preheat all burners on HI for 10 to 15 minutes. Also, check if the cooking grates and Flavorizer® bars are heavily coated with burned-on grease; if so, clean them thoroughly. Finally, make sure to clean the bottom tray.

What to do if burner flame is low in “HI” position on Weber S-660 - LP Grill?
    • J
      Joseph HawkinsAug 5, 2025
Several factors can cause a low flame. First, check if your LP fuel is low or empty and refill the LP cylinder if needed. Next, inspect the fuel hose for any bends or kinks and straighten it. If you can light the burner with a match, check the Crossover® ignition system. Also, be sure to hold the control knob in for two seconds after snapping the igniter and seeing the orange flame from the burner lighting tube. You can also try manually lighting the burner (refer to “Main Burner Manual Lighting”).

How to clean peeling inside lid of Weber Grill?
    • D
      dixonrhondaAug 10, 2025
The lid is porcelain enamel or stainless steel, not paint, so it cannot “peel”. The residue you see is likely baked-on grease that has turned to carbon and is flaking off. This is not a defect. Clean the lid thoroughly.
