6.
COMMISSIONING
6.1 Safety precautions
The following residual risks are present during the
commissioning of the machine and cannot be elimi-
nated:
Electrical hazard:
When using the electrical appliance, several safety
standards must be observed:
t do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands
or feet;
t do not use the appliance if barefooted;
t do not pull the power cord to disconnect the appli-
ance.
Danger of high temperature:
Some parts of the machine can reach high tempera-
tures:
t avoid contact with the coee group, the lter holder
heater and water and steam spouts;
t do not expose your hands or other body parts to the
coee, steam, or hot water spouts.
Explosion hazard:
If provided with gas system, pay special attention to:
t When indoors, always provide vents.
t Check for gas leaks.
t Do not under any circumstances attempt to light the
gas without rst installing the proper injector.
t Do not operate the gas burners when the boiler is
empty.
6.2 External motor pump adjustment
To adjust operating pressure proceed as follows:
t Operate a coee dispensing switch;
t adjust the pressure by turning the screw located on
the pump (3) so as to obtain a pressure of between
8 and 9 bar. Tightening the screw increases the pres-
sure, and loosening it reduces the pressure. Check the
pressure by means of the pressure gauge (4) located
on the front part of the machine;
t turn o the dispensing switch.

6.3 Preparing the lter holder
6.3.1 Filter holders
t In the housing of the lter holder (1) place the spring
to stop the lter (2).
t Take the one-cup (3) or (4) lter and press it rmly
into the lter holder.
6.3.2 Spouts
Complete the lter holder by mounting the spout for
one cup (5) or two cups (6).

Properly connect the single lter with the single spout and the
double lter with the double spout.
