TROUBLESHOOTING
This troubleshooting guide is designed to assist in dealing with the most common scenarios encountered.
PROBLEM
SOLUTION
1. Vacuum Generator will not turn off
1. Check connection.
2. Possible broken vacuum generator.
3. Problem with PLC contact.
2. Bags dropping from fingers
1. Check finger alignment.
2. Check finger spring tension.
3. Check bag placement in magazine.
4. Clean finger tips.
3. Bag Dispensing
1. Check placement of suction cups & verify
position with bag in magazine.
2. Check magazine adjustments, alignment bars
may be out of position.
3. Check incoming air pressure.
4. Suction cups damaged.
5. Proximity sensor switch out of position.
4. Suction cup vacuum stays on constantly
1. Problem with PLC contact.
5. Machine will not stop when pressing Stop
Button
(Note: Bags will run out of machine before
stopping, this is normal.)
1. Encoder not reading.
2. Encoder proximity sensor not resetting encoder.
3. Problem with PLC contact.
6. Scale not discharging at correct time
1. Ensure Scale is enabled in H.M.I.
2. Verify start/stop positions on H.M.I. Parameters
Screen.
7. Zipper operation
1. Confirm zipper option was selected on touch
screen.
2. Timing is essential, observe timing of fingers with
movement of suction cups, they should move
together.
3. Adjust flow control valves for more or less air
flow.
