  If the malfunction indicator light is on while the meter and fan are working, it could be due to overcurrent or overheating protection, or a fault in the inverter circuit. If it's due to overcurrent, turn off the unit and restart it after the failure indicator light flashes. If it's due to overheating, wait about 2-3 minutes for the unit to cool down without turning off the power.
