4750W GAS POWERED GENERATOR
PREPARING THE GENERATOR
STARTING THE GENERATOR
USING THE GENERATOR
STOPPING THE GENERATOR
Place the generator on a rm, level surface before proceeding.
Remove the dipstick, add oil slowly to ll crank case to the bottom thread of the ll
hole. Be careful not to overll. Never tilt the generator to ll, always keep it level.
Check for oil leaks and rmly tighten the dipstick.
2. ADD GASOLINE
Unscrew fuel cap. Slowly add unleaded gasoline and do not ll to the very top to allow
for expansion. Reinstall fuel cap and wipe clean any spilled gasoline with a dry cloth.
Always turn o generator and allow to cool before refueling. Check for spilled
fuel before operating. Avoid getting dirt or water into the fuel tank.
Fuel tank capacity: 4 gallons
Use fresh (within 30 days from purchase), lead-free gasoline with a
minimum of 87 octane rating. Never use an oil/gasoline mixture.
3. CONNECT THE BATTERY
Remove the protective covering from the free end of the negative battery cable.
Attach it to the battery and secure the connection.
4. GROUND THE GENERATOR
For increased safety, tighten the grounding nut
on the front control panel against a grounding
wire and connect the other end to a copper,
brass, or steel-grounding rod that is driven into
the earth. A generally acceptable grounding wire
is a No. 12 AWG (American Wire Gauge) stranded
copper wire.
STORING THE GENERATOR
• Drain the carburetor and fuel tank (see Draining the Fuel Tank on Manual page 24).
• Change oil (see Changing/Draining the Oil on Manual page 21).
• Disconnect the negative battery cable and cover free end with insulator
• Do not obstruct any ventilation openings.
• Keep the generator in a cool dry area.
• Place battery on a trickle charger to make sure battery is charged
CAUTION: Do not store fuel for more than 3 months.
Check the overload light and power indicator light. If the overload light is on,
disconnect the entire load, and press the power reset button before plugging the
loads back in. If the reset button does not reset, wait several minutes and try again.
Read the entire user manual before attempting to use the generator.
IMPORTANT:

Engine crankcase oil capacity: 17 . oz.
Recommend using 30W, 4-stroke engine oil above 40° F
1. ADD OIL
• Drain the carburetor.
• Add fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank half-way. Run the engine for 5-10 minutes allow-
ing stabilized fuel mixture to circulate through the carburetor, then top off with fuel.
Grounding codes can vary by location.
Contact a local electrician to check the area codes.
WARNING: Allow the generator to cool for several minutes before
touching HOT areas.

1. CHECK
2. PREPARE
• Generator is properly grounded.
• Oil and fuel are lled to the right amount.
• No electrical device is plugged in.
• Turn the Fuel Valve to the “ON” position.
• Move the Choke Lever to the “CLOSE/START” position.
• Set the ON/OFF Switch to the “ON” position.
3. START ENGINE
4. RUN ENGINE
1. PLUG IN
Press the Engine Switch to the “START” position for 2-3 seconds then release switch.
Repeat until engine starts.
Once the engine has started, slowly move the Choke Lever to “OPEN/RUN” position.
Allow the engine to run for several minutes to stabilize speed before attempting to
connect any electrical devices.
1. TURN OFF
2. DRAIN CARBURETOR
• Turn off all electrical devices and then unplug them from the generator.
• Turn the “ON/OFF” switch to the “OFF” position.
• Turn the Fuel Valve to the “OFF” (horizontal) position.
FOR SHORT PERIODS OF TIME (30 TO 60 DAYS):
Unscrew and drain the carburetor after each use. Store with
a dry carburetor to make sure the generator can properly
function next time.
Plug in each electrical device. Make sure that the devices are turned off.
2. CHECK
NOTE: The total running wattage of the generator’s load should not exceed 3750W.
An easy way to approximate your draw is that 1 amp equals roughly 120 watts. It is
not recommended to draw more than 2400W from any single 120 volt receptacle.
FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME:
FOR MANUAL START: pull on the recoil starter handle slowly until a slight resistance
is felt, then pull quickly to start the engine. Return cord gently, never allowing the
cord to snap back. Do not pull the cord from underneath the panel.
Unscrew to Drain
Run generator once a month for 45 minutes. Plug in electrical devices and run
for 10 minutes. Shut o the gas and drain gas from the fuel tank and carburetor.
DANGER: CARBON MONOXIDE. NEVER use a generator inside homes, garages,
crawl spaces, or other partially enclosed areas. ONLY use a generator outside
and far away from windows, doors, and vents.
WARNING: Do not operate near open ame. This generator may emit highly
ammable and explosive gasoline vapors.
Check oil level before each use. Add oil if oil level is below the bottom thread.
