Why won't my Wen 56235i start?

  If your Wen Portable Generator engine won't start, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the engine switch is set to ON. Check that the choke is closed. Make sure the generator has enough fuel, and that the fuel isn't old or contaminated—if it is, drain and replace it. Inspect the spark plug; it may need cleaning or replacing. Also, check the oil level, as the generator has a low oil sensor that prevents starting if the level is insufficient. Finally, the carburetor might be air locked; if so, shut off the fuel valve, remove the nut from the bottom of the carburetor to allow it to reset, then reinstall the carburetor and nut.

  If your Wen Portable Generator runs but provides no electrical output, the circuit breaker may have tripped due to an overload. Disconnect all loads, wait two minutes, and then push the circuit breaker to the ON position to reset it. Inspect the power and extension cords for damage, replacing them if necessary. Finally, try connecting a different device to rule out a problem with the original device.
