How to troubleshoot a Wen DF1100T when the engine will not start?

  If your WEN Inverter engine won't start, begin by ensuring the engine switch is set to ON and the fuel valve is also in the ON position. Check the oil level and add or replace oil if it's low. Make sure the engine has fuel; if it does, drain the tank and refill with fresh fuel if the existing fuel is old or contaminated. Inspect the spark plug for dirt or damage, cleaning or replacing it as needed. Lastly, if the carburetor is air locked, shut off the fuel valve, remove the bolt from the bottom of the carburetor, take off the carburetor bowl to allow it to reset, then replace the bowl and reinstall the bolt.

  If your WEN Inverter engine runs but there's no electrical output, first, turn off and unplug any connected devices. Wait 5 minutes, then press the circuit breaker to reset it, as it may have tripped due to an overload. Inspect the power and extension cords for damage, replacing any damaged cords immediately. Try connecting a different electrical device to rule out issues with the original device. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the voltage regulator or carbon brushes may need attention. Check voltage regulator with a multi-meter, replace if necessary. Check carbon brushes, adjust so that both brushes extrude the same length, or replace if worn.

  If your WEN Inverter runs but can't support all connected devices, it might be overloaded. Turn off and unplug all devices, wait 5 minutes, and reset the circuit breaker. Reduce the load by plugging devices back in one at a time. Also, check for a short circuit in any of the connected devices by disconnecting them one by one. A dirty air filter can also cause this issue, so clean or replace it.

  If your WEN Inverter engine's RPM is fluctuating during operation, turn off the generator and allow it to cool down. Then: 1. Check that fuel is flowing properly through the fuel valve. 2. Inspect the air filter for blockages and clean it if necessary. 3. Check the spark arrester for blockages, cleaning it with a metal brush if needed. 4. Spray "gunk remover" on the carburetor jets to address potential buildup.
