What to do if my Wen GN9500 Inverter engine will not start?
    • D
      Dr. Jordan HaleAug 4, 2025
If your Wen Inverter engine won't start, there are several potential causes: * The engine switch may be set to OFF. Ensure it is set to ON. * The fuel valve may be turned to OFF. Turn the fuel valve to ON. * The oil level may be low. Add or replace oil. * The engine may be out of fuel. Add fuel. * The engine may be filled with contaminated or old fuel. Drain the fuel tank and fill it with fresh fuel. * The spark plug may be dirty or broken. Clean or replace the spark plug. * The carburetor may be air locked. Shut off the fuel valve, remove the bolt from the bottom of the carburetor, and take off the carburetor bowl to allow it to reset. Then, replace the carburetor bowl and reinstall the bolt. * There might be a ghost in the generator. Persuade ghost to leave.

Why does my Wen GN9500 Inverter generator run but not support all electrical devices connected?
    • V
      Victor StevensAug 10, 2025
Your Wen Inverter generator might not support all connected electrical devices due to several reasons: * The generator may be overloaded. Turn off and unplug all electrical devices, wait 5 minutes, then press the circuit breaker to reset. Reduce the load as necessary, then plug the devices back in one by one. * There could be a short circuit in one of the devices. Try disconnecting any faulty or short-circuited electrical loads. * The air filter might be dirty. Clean or replace the air filter element.

How to troubleshoot a Wen GN9500 Inverter when the engine is 'hunting'?
    • J
      John SnyderAug 21, 2025
If your Wen Inverter's engine is "hunting" (Engine RPM is fluctuating), consider these potential causes: * The fuel may not be running properly through the fuel valve. Check if the fuel is properly and consistently going through the fuel valve. * The air filter may be clogged. Check for any blockage in the air filter and clean it as necessary. * The muffler or spark arrestor may be blocked. Check if the spark arrestor is blocked and clean it with a metal brush as necessary. * There may be gunk in the carburetor preventing a consistent fuel/air mixture. Use "gunk remover" spray on the carburetor jets.

What to do if the remote start on my Wen Inverter does not work?
    • P
      porteraliciaAug 28, 2025
If the remote start on your Wen Inverter isn't working, consider the following: * The battery may be disconnected. Connect the battery. * The remote batteries may be drained. Replace the batteries; the remote takes 2 CR2016 batteries. * The remote may not have been paired with the generator. Pair the remote with the generator. * The generator may be in sleep mode. Put the generator in standby mode. * You may be out of range. You must be within 164 ft (50 m) of the generator for the signal to work properly. The signal may be weaker if the batteries are old. * The engine switch may not be set to ON. Set the engine switch to ON.

    • D
      danielle23Nov 14, 2025
If your Wen Inverter engine runs but there's no electrical output, consider these possibilities: * The circuit breaker may have tripped due to an overload. Turn off and unplug the electrical devices, wait 5 minutes, then press the circuit breaker to reset. Check the total wattage of the devices and reduce the load if it exceeds the generator's capacity, then plug the loads back in one by one. * There may be bad connecting cords or wires. Check the power cords and extension cords. Do not use any damaged cords; replace them immediately. * A bad electrical device may be connected to the generator. Try connecting a different device. * The carbon brushes may be worn or need adjustment. Check the carbon brushes and adjust them so that both brushes extrude the same length, or replace the...
