Why is there poor product flow in my Westfield Farm Equipment?
    • A
      Austin WalkerAug 18, 2025
Poor product flow can occur for several reasons. The input speed may be too slow, so try increasing the engine rpm. There might be inadequate material flow from the truck or hopper, so increase the flow of material. A restricted flow into the hopper can also be the cause, in this case, clear the grating of obstructions. If the material is too wet or heavy, remember that unloading rates are for dry grain. Worn flighting or a slipping belt can also lead to this issue; repair or replace the flighting as required, and identify, adjust or replace the slipping belt.

What to do if my Westfield STX2 machine operates slowly?
    • J
      Jacqueline PriceAug 20, 2025
If your machine operates slowly, several factors could be responsible. The oil might be hot; check the oil level and add oil if needed. The power source may not be producing enough oil volume or pressure; speed up the engine to produce more flow/pressure, or consider that the power unit may lack sufficient capacity. If equipped, a plugged filter could be the issue, so change the filter. Additionally, the cushion block might need adjusting; adjust the valve on the cushion block by turning it inward 1/8 of a turn at a time, referring to the Ram and Travel Speed guidelines.

Why is my Westfield Farm Equipment making excessive noise or vibration?
    • C
      Courtney JordanAug 23, 2025
Excessive noise or vibration can be attributed to a few things. If you hear chatter from wooden bearings, spray penetrating lubricant between the shaft and bearing surface, allowing time for the bearings to break in. If equipped, incorrectly adjusted truss cables can cause this; support the end of the auger and adjust the cables so the auger is flat or curves slightly upwards. Also, inspect the spout end of the auger for flighting condition, as flighting peeled back due to plugging can also be the cause; remove and replace flighting sections as necessary.

What to do if the flighting does not turn on my Westfield STX2 Farm Equipment?
    • G
      Gregory JonesAug 26, 2025
If the flighting isn't turning, it could be due to several reasons. The auger flighting might be plugged or obstructed; identify and remove any obstructions. A bearing could be seized; identify and replace it. A chain might be broken; identify the chain and repair or replace it. In some cases, the upper drive chain is broken, you should repair or replace it. The gearbox might be seized, you should fix or replace it. Alternatively, the gearbox coupler bolt could be broken or missing; replace the bolt.

How to fix drive belts jumping off pulleys on my Westfield Farm Equipment?
    • A
      Alexis SmithAug 28, 2025
If the drive belts are jumping off the pulleys, first ensure that the drive and driven pulleys are correctly aligned, as a misaligned motor can cause this. Also, check the Specifications section for correct belt sizes and only replace belts in pairs if they are mismatched. Inadequate belt tension can also be the culprit, so adjust the tension accordingly. Finally, verify that you are not using a lower horsepower motor than recommended; see the Specifications for recommended motor sizes.

What to do if the auger will not raise or lower on my Westfield Farm Equipment?
    • A
      Anthony WintersAug 30, 2025
If the auger won't raise or lower, it might already be at its maximum or minimum height; if at maximum height, lower the auger. There could also be an obstruction in the slide; clear any obstructions. A faulty cable could be the cause, so replace the cable. In the case of a faulty winch, consult your local dealer.

Why is my Westfield STX2 Farm Equipment hydraulic winch not raising the auger?
    • K
      kbryantSep 1, 2025
If the hydraulic winch isn't raising the auger, the relief valve pressure might be set too low; adjust the relief valve pressure, referring to the Hydraulic Pressure Adjustment guidelines. The oil level could also be too low; check the oil level and replenish if necessary. In some cases, a worn-out pump may be the cause, so replace the pump.

      Miss Sarah PowellSep 4, 2025

How to fix a winch coupler that spins off (Dutton winch) on my Westfield Farm Equipment?
    • N
      nicholasschultzSep 7, 2025
If the winch coupler spins off, it could be due to worn internal winch parts, which would need to be replaced. Another potential cause is damage or an obstruction on the tracking; check the tracking for damage or obstructions.

Why is the auger flighting noisy on my Westfield STX2 Farm Equipment?
    • T
      twilsonSep 9, 2025
Noisy auger flighting can be caused by an obstruction in the auger tube. Identify and remove the obstruction. Alternatively, the flighting shaft bolts might be loose or damaged; tighten or replace the bolts.
