  Your Westinghouse Portable Generator might not start due to several reasons: the battery switch may be in the OFF position (turn it to ON); it might be out of fuel (refuel it); the fuel could be bad (drain and refuel with fresh gasoline); the air filter could be dirty (clean it); the engine oil level might be low (add engine oil); the spark plug could be wet with fuel (wait five minutes, turn the battery switch to the OFF position, pull the recoil handle rapidly several times, and if it doesn't start, remove and dry the spark plug); the spark plug might be faulty (gap or replace it); the battery could be drained (use the recoil handle to start the generator); or the choke might be partially open or closed (manually set the choke).
