What to do if my Whale WD1815 runs but no water comes out?
    • B
      brettbishopAug 3, 2025
If your Whale Water Pump runs but no water appears, or if it runs but will not switch off, first ensure the seacock is open and the water tank isn't empty. Then, check the strainer for blockages. Also, verify that all connections from the tank or seacock to the pump inlet are secure; air leaks can prevent priming. Finally, inspect the pipework and fittings for leaks on the outlet side of the pump, and ensure the system drain plugs are closed.

How to fix a Whale WD1815 that does not run?
    • J
      Jacob LopezAug 8, 2025
If your Whale Water Pump isn't running, start by checking the power supply, ensuring leads are attached and connections are clean. Then, see if the fuse has blown and replace it if necessary. Finally, inspect the pipework for any kinks that may be causing a blockage.

Why is the flow low on my Whale WD1815 Water Pump?
    • J
      Jeffrey JohnsonAug 13, 2025
If your Whale Water Pump is experiencing low flow, ensure the pipework connection has a minimum bore of 10mm. Verify the power supply to the pump uses the correct gauge wire (2.5mm²/13 AWG) to provide full voltage and check that the battery is not discharged. Replace any damaged connections if pipework or connections are crushed due to overtightened jubilee clips. Ensure the pump is situated beside the water tank or seacock. Check the pipework and fittings for leaks and repair and check system drain plugs are closed. Additionally, clean the pump strainer by removing the clear lid, rinsing, and replacing it to the main strainer body, retaining the strainer mesh for the lid.

    • E
      Elijah KlineAug 18, 2025

How to stop my Whale Water Pump from cycling on and off excessively?
    • J
      Jennifer GillespieAug 23, 2025
To address excessive cycling of your Whale Water Pump when taps are open, first check the pipework for kinks and ensure filters are clear to prevent excessive back pressure. Next, inspect shower roses and taps for blockages. You may also need to verify the correct pump is fitted.
  • C
    Christopher NguyenAug 28, 2025
Why is my Whale Water Pump so noisy?
    • A
      angela39Aug 28, 2025
If your Whale Water Pump is operating noisily, first determine if the pump is drawing air; refer to the 'no water getting to pump' troubleshooting steps. If that's not the issue, check that the pump is secured to a solid surface and that the pump body isn't in contact with hard surfaces. Ensure the pipework is securely supported.
