  If nothing operates on your Whirlpool Fan, check the following: * **Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker:** Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. If the problem persists, contact an electrician. * **Filters not seating in the plenum:** Ensure the filters are fully depressing the filter switches. * **Start button not pressed long enough:** Push and hold the Start button on the top of the downdraft vent for at least 3 seconds.

Why is the blower on my Whirlpool Fan not working?

  If the blower on your Whirlpool Fan does not operate, check these: * **Vent not fully raised:** Make sure the vent is totally in the up position. * **Filters installed incorrectly:** Push the filter in as far as it will go to activate the switch behind the filter. * **Control slider in Off position:** Slide the control slider on the right-hand side of the downdraft vent to adjust the blower motor speed.

  If your Whirlpool Fan downdraft is not level on the countertop: * **Vent not level:** Level the vent. * **Uneven rising:** Make sure both of the support legs have the same height from the bottom of the vent box to the bottom of the support legs.

  If your Whirlpool Fan is making noises, consider: * **Recent installation with grinding noises:** Use stainless steel cleaner to remove any residue left by the white protective film. * **Noise due to moving air:** Ensure the installation of the product is fully into the cutout with no gap in the middle of it.

Ensure the filter is properly installed. * **Filters installed incorrectly:** Push the filter in as far as it will go to activate the microswitch behind the filter. * **Start button not pressed long enough:** Push and hold the button on the top of the downdraft vent for at least 3 seconds. * **Downdraft not secured:** Ensure that the vent hood is level, upright, and securely fastened to the floor and countertop.
