Why is my Whirlpool Washer dispenser not working correctly?
    • M
      Michelle RichSep 3, 2025
For incorrect dispenser operation in your Whirlpool Washer, avoid overfilling the dispenser. Homes with low water pressure may result in residual powder in the dispenser. Use only liquid chlorine bleach in the bleach compartment. It is normal for small amounts of water to remain in the dispenser at the end of the cycle.

Why is my Whirlpool W10441074B - SP not draining and loads are wet?
    • R
      Robert PetersNov 10, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer isn't draining or spinning, and your loads are still wet, ensure the drain hose isn't clogged and that its end isn't higher than 96" (2.4 m) above the floor. Lower the drain hose if it exceeds this height. Remove any clogs from the drain hose. The drain hose should be loosely but securely fitted. Also, using cycles with a slower spin speed can cause this issue, so use the recommended cycle/speed spin for your garment. A tightly packed or unbalanced load may also prevent proper spinning, so ensure the washer is loaded correctly and avoid washing single items. Check the drum for any items sticking through the drum holes. You can also select DRAIN & SPIN to remove any remaining water. If the 'Add Garment' light is on, touch START once to unlock the door. Finally, ensu...

Why won't my Whirlpool Washer run or fill with water?
    • T
      Terry ChandlerNov 16, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer isn't running or filling, or if it stops working, make sure both hoses are attached and have water flowing to the inlet valve, and that both hot and cold water faucets are turned on. Check that the inlet valve screens are not clogged and that there are no kinks in the inlet hoses restricting water flow. Ensure the power cord is plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet and avoid using an extension cord. Verify there is power to the outlet and check the electrical source, calling an electrician if the voltage is low. Reset any tripped circuit breakers or replace blown fuses. The door must be completely closed and latched for the washer to run. The washer may have stopped to reduce suds. Note that Cold Wash uses less water initially for concentrated detergent action. What to do if my Whirlpool W10441074B - SP is not cleaning well?
    • N
      Nicole RobertsNov 27, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer isn't rinsing well, cleaning, or removing stains, consult the 'Cycle Guide' for available settings and options for each cycle. Ensure you load dispensers before starting a cycle and avoid tightly packing the washer. Use the recommended cycle for the type of garments being washed. When a load unbalance occurs, the washer will start a process to redistribute the load. If the wash action or spin speed is too fast for the load, select a slower spin speed. Unload the washer as soon as it stops. If safe for the load, use warm or hot wash water. Use only HE detergent. You may need to install a water softener or iron filter. Add liquid fabric softener to the fabric softener compartment, as dispensing balls will not operate correctly with this washer. Consider using liquid ...
