How to fix vibration or shaking in my Whirlpool Washer?
    • D
      Danny ThompsonAug 10, 2025
To reduce vibration or shaking in your Whirlpool Washer, ensure the front and rear feet are firmly in contact with the floor and that the washer is level. Check the floor for flexing or sagging; if uneven, placing a 3/4" (19 mm) piece of plywood underneath can help. Also, distribute dry items loosely around the basket wall to avoid unbalanced loads. Avoid tightly packing the washer, and do not wash single items. For oversized, non-absorbent items, use the Heavy Duty cycle.

If your Whirlpool Washer is vibrating or shaking, it might not be level, or the feet may not be in contact with the floor. Ensure the front and rear feet are firmly touching the floor and that the washer is level for proper operation. Check for flexing or sagging in the floor. If uneven, use a 3/4" (19 mm) piece of plywood under the washer to minimize sound. Also, make sure loads are balanced by distributing dry items loosely around the basket wall.
