This document provides instructions for use of a Whirlpool washing machine, model WB70803. It serves as a comprehensive guide for installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
This appliance is a top-load washing machine designed for private domestic use. It is capable of washing various types of laundry with different programs and customizable settings. The machine features a fuzzy logic function that automatically detects the wash load weight and selects appropriate water power, water level, wash and spin times, and rinse type for "NORMAL" and "HEAVY DUTY" programs. Users can also manually adjust these settings for other programs or specific preferences. The washing machine supports hot, cold, and warm water washes, requiring connection to both hot and cold water taps. It also includes a preset timer for delayed washing, a child lock function, and a memory function for frequently used programs.
The washing machine's control panel includes several buttons and indicators for easy operation:
The machine offers various wash programs:
While "NORMAL" and "HEAVY DUTY" programs use fuzzy logic, users can customize soak time (0-40 minutes), wash time (0-20 minutes), rinse time (0-4 times), and spin time (0-9 minutes) for other programs. Water power can also be adjusted from weakest (L4) to strongest (H4) for most programs, except "COTTON," "DELICATE," and "BLANKET."
This function allows users to set the time (0-24 hours) after which the washing program will finish. It is not available for "COTTON," "DELICATE," and "QUICK" programs. Detergents should be added to the detergent box or wrapped in a small cloth for powder, or poured into the top plate hole for liquid detergent/bleach to avoid direct contact with clothes.
The machine can be programmed to stop before the last rinse, displaying "SF" and beeping, to allow users to add diluted fabric softener directly into the tub.
When activated, opening the lid for 5 seconds triggers an alarm and stops the machine. Activated by holding the "Program" button for 4 seconds after powering on.
The machine begins washing when the water reaches two levels below the set level, continuing to fill during the initial wash phase. This ensures detergent dissolves fully. This feature is ineffective for the first two water levels (20L or 25L), "DELICATE" or "BLANKET" programs, or when "SOAK" is selected.
Regular maintenance is crucial for prolonging the washing machine's service life. Always disconnect the machine from the power supply before any cleaning or maintenance.
The manual provides solutions for common issues like the washer not starting, water leaks, water intake during cycles, intermittent spinning, and error messages (E1 for water flow, E2 for drain, E3 for spin, E4 for lid, E5 for child lock, EA/EC for other problems). If problems persist, users are advised to contact an authorized service center.
