Why is my Whirlpool Washer not draining or spinning, and loads are still wet?
    • P
      phillipsbrandonAug 18, 2025
Several factors can cause your Whirlpool washer to not drain or spin, leaving loads wet: * The drain hose may extend too far into the standpipe (more than 4.5" or 114 mm). Ensure proper installation, using the drain hose form and securing it to the drainpipe or tub. Avoid taping over the drain opening. * The drain hose could be clogged or positioned more than 96" (2.4 m) above the floor. Lower the drain hose if it exceeds this height and clear any obstructions. * A strainer or stocking might be attached to the end of the drain hose. Remove it. * The drain hose may fit too tightly in the standpipe or be taped to it. The drain hose should fit securely but loosely, without being sealed with tape to allow for an air gap.

What to do if my Whirlpool WFW75HEFW won’t run or fill; washer stops working?
    • Y
      yrichardsonAug 20, 2025
If your Whirlpool washer isn't running or filling, or if it stops working, consider these potential causes: * Ensure that both hoses are properly attached and that water is flowing to the inlet valve. * Verify that both the hot and cold water faucets are fully turned on. * Check the inlet valve screens for any clogs.

What to do if the door is locked at the end of the wash cycle of my Whirlpool Washer?
    • B
      Breanna MartinAug 23, 2025
If the door is locked at the end of the wash cycle, it could be due to the following reasons: * Water remaining in the washer after the cycle. Select DRAIN & SPIN to remove any remaining water. The door will unlock once the water is drained. * The FanFresh® option is activated. While this option is on, the fan blows, and the load is tumbled periodically for up to 12 hours, keeping the door locked. To unlock the door, cancel the FanFresh® option by touching POWER.

How to fix water leaks in Whirlpool Washer?
    • E
      Elizabeth BeardAug 26, 2025
If you're experiencing water leaks with your Whirlpool washer, here are some potential causes and solutions: * Ensure fill hoses are tightly connected. * Properly seat all four fill-hose flat washers. * Check that the drain hose is properly secured to the drainpipe or laundry tub. * Inspect household plumbing for leaks or clogs in the sink or drain. Water can back up from a clogged sink or drainpipe, so check laundry tubs, drain pipes, water pipes, and faucets. * Remove any strainer or stocking from the end of the drain hose if it's clogged.

Why is my Whirlpool Washer vibrating, rocking, or “walking”?
    • H
      heidi51Aug 28, 2025
If your Whirlpool washer is vibrating, rocking, or "walking", consider these potential causes: * Ensure the front and rear feet are in firm contact with the floor and locked, and that the washer is level. The jam nuts must be tight against the bottom of the cabinet. * Check the floor for flexing or sagging. If the flooring is uneven, a ¾" (19 mm) piece of plywood under your washer will reduce sound. Do not install the washer on a raised wooden platform. * The load could be unbalanced or too large. Avoid tightly packing the load and washing single items. Balance a single item, such as a rug or jeans jacket, with a few extra items. * Check to see if the shipping bolts are still in the back of the washer.

What to do if there is water or suds leaking from the door or rear of Whirlpool Washer?
    • C
      Chris FarleyAug 31, 2025
If you notice water or suds leaking from the door or rear of your Whirlpool washer, here are some possible reasons and solutions: * Ensure you are using only HE (High Efficiency) detergent and not using too much. Regular detergents can cause excessive suds, leading to leaks. Always measure detergent according to the manufacturer's directions based on your load size. * When running the Clean Washer with affresh® cycle, avoid using thickened, easy-pour, or no-splash bleach. Use affresh® tablets or regular, non-thickened chlorine bleach. * Clean the underside of the door glass periodically to remove any residue that could cause leaks. * Be aware that water can drip off the inside of the door if it's opened during the 'Add Garment' phase.

What does it mean when the Clean Washer LED is flashing at the end of the wash cycle on my Whirlpool WFW75HEFW Washer?
    • C
      Chelsea MitchellSep 2, 2025
If the Clean Washer LED is flashing at the end of a wash cycle, it means the washer has completed 30 wash cycles and is reminding you to run the Clean Washer with affresh® cycle. Run the Clean Washer with affresh® cycle. If the Clean Washer with affresh® cycle is not turned on, the LED will stop flashing at the end of a wash cycle after running 3 more regular wash cycles. After 30 more wash cycles are completed, the Clean Washer with affresh® LED will again flash at the end of a wash cycle as a reminder.

What to do if all detergent level status lights are lit on my Whirlpool WFW75HEFW Washer?
    • J
      jonesmelissaSep 4, 2025
If all detergent level status lights are lit on your Whirlpool washer, it could indicate: * The detergent dispenser is not securely in place. Pull out the dispenser, fill it with detergent, and slide it back in. * A Detergent Level sensor error. Touch POWER to reset the system. If the LEDs remain lit, unplug the washer for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. If the problem persists, remove the cartridge and use single-load dispensing until it's resolved.

Why is my Whirlpool WFW75HEFW making clicking or metallic noises?
    • A
      Alan FerrellSep 7, 2025
Clicking or metallic noises in your Whirlpool washer can be caused by a couple of things: * The door locking or unlocking. The door will lock, unlock, and lock again, and you'll hear 3 clicks after touching and holding START. This is normal. * Objects caught in the washer drain system. Empty pockets before washing. Loose items like coins could fall between the washer drum and tub or block the pump.
