Product Description and Control Panel
The dishwasher features an upper rack, foldable flaps, an upper rack height adjuster, an upper spray arm, a lower rack, a cutlery basket, a lower spray arm, a filter assembly, a salt reservoir, detergent and rinse aid dispensers, a rating plate, and a control panel.
The control panel includes an On-Off/Reset button with an indicator light, a program selection button, salt and rinse aid refill indicator lights, a program number and remaining time indicator, a delay indicator light, a display, a Multizone indicator light, a Delay button, a Multizone button, and a Tablet (Tab) button with an indicator light.
First Time Use: Salt, Rinse Aid, and Detergent
Salt Reservoir: The salt reservoir, located in the lower part of the dishwasher, prevents limescale formation. It should be filled when the SALT REFILL indicator light illuminates. To fill, remove the lower rack, unscrew the cap, position the funnel, and pour approximately 1 kg of salt until full. Ensure the cap is screwed on tightly to prevent detergent from entering. It is recommended to add salt before starting a wash cycle.
Water Hardness Setting: To optimize the water softener, set the water hardness based on your local water supply. The factory setting is for average (3) hardness. To adjust, switch the appliance on and off, then hold the 'P' button for 5 seconds until a beep is heard. Switch it on again and press 'P' to select the desired hardness level from the Water Hardness Table (Soft, Medium, Average, Hard, Very Hard). After setting, switch the appliance off. Run an empty program after this procedure. Use only dishwasher-specific salt. Failure to fill the salt container can damage the water softener and heating element.
Rinse Aid Dispenser: Rinse aid facilitates dish drying. The rinse aid dispenser (A) should be filled when the RINSE AID REFILL indicator light is lit. Open the dispenser (B) by pressing and pulling up the tab, carefully introduce rinse aid up to the maximum (110 ml) notch, avoiding spills. Close the lid until it clicks. Never pour rinse aid directly into the tub.
Rinse Aid Dosage Adjustment: If drying results are unsatisfactory, adjust the rinse aid quantity. Switch the dishwasher on and off, then press the 'P' button three times until a beep is heard. Switch it on again. The current selection level and rinse aid indicator light will flash. Press 'P' to select the desired level (1-4). Switch off to complete. Setting the level to ZERO (ECO) will disable rinse aid dispensing. If bluish streaks appear, set a lower number (1-2); if water drops or limescale marks remain, set a higher number (3-4).
Detergent Dispenser: Open the detergent dispenser using device A. Introduce detergent into the dry dispenser B only. For pre-washing, place detergent directly inside the tub. Refer to the PROGRAMS TABLE for proper quantity. Compartment B indicates the maximum quantity for liquid or powder detergent. Remove residues from the dispenser edges and close the cover until it clicks. The dispenser opens automatically during the program. For all-in-one detergents, use the TABLET button to optimize washing and drying.
Programs Table and Description
The dishwasher offers various programs:
- Eco 50°: Standard program for normally soiled crockery, efficient in energy and water consumption.
- 6th Sense® 50-60°: For normally soiled dishes with dried food residues. Senses soiling levels and adjusts the program duration.
- Intensive 65°: For heavily soiled crockery, pans, and saucepans (not for delicate items).
- Daily 50°: For normally soiled crockery, ensuring optimal cleaning in shorter time.
- Silent 50°: For night-time operation, ensuring optimum performance.
- Rapid 30' 50°: For lightly soiled dishes with no dried food residues (ideal for 2 place settings).
- Cristal 45°: For delicate items sensitive to high temperatures, like glasses and cups.
- PreWash: For crockery to be washed later, no detergent needed.
Notes: For "1 Hour" and "Rapid" programs, observe maximum place settings for optimum performance. To reduce consumption, run the dishwasher only when full.
Options and Functions
- Delay: Delays program start by 1 to 12 hours. Press the DELAY button to select the desired delay (1h, 2h, etc.). Select the program and close the door. To adjust or cancel, press DELAY repeatedly until the indicator light switches off. The wash program starts automatically when the door is shut. Cannot be set once a cycle has started.
- Multizone: For half loads, saves water, electricity, and detergent. Select the wash cycle, then press MULTIZONE. The indicator for the chosen rack lights up, and the cycle starts only in the upper or lower rack. Load only the selected rack and reduce detergent accordingly.
- Tablet (Tab): Optimizes program performance for all-in-one tablet detergents (rinse aid, salt, detergent in one). Press the TABLET button (indicator light illuminates). Turn off for powder or liquid detergent.
If an option is incompatible with the selected program, its LED flashes rapidly 3 times, beeps sound, and the option is not enabled.
Daily Use
- Check Water Connection: Ensure the dishwasher is connected to water supply and the tap is open.
- Switch On: Open the door and press the ON/OFF button.
- Load Racks: Arrange crockery as per loading instructions.
- Fill Detergent Dispenser: Add detergent as described in "First Time Use."
- Choose Program and Customise Cycle: Select the appropriate program using the 'P' button and desired options.
- Start: Close the door. A beep indicates the program has started.
- End of Wash Cycle: Beeps and a flashing cycle number on the display indicate completion. Open the door and press ON/OFF. Wait a few minutes before unloading to avoid burns. Unload the lower rack first. The machine automatically switches off during extended inactivity to minimize electricity consumption. For lightly soiled or pre-rinsed crockery, reduce detergent amount.
Modifying a Running Program: If a wrong program was selected and has just begun, open the door (beware of hot steam!), press and hold ON/OFF to switch off. Switch on again, select a new cycle and options, then close the door.
Adding Extra Crockery: Without switching off, open the door (beware of hot steam!) and add crockery. Close the door, and the cycle resumes from where it was interrupted.
Accidental Interruptions: If the door opens or there's a power cut, the cycle stops. It resumes from the interruption point once the door is closed or power is restored.
Advice and Tips
General Tips:
- Remove food residues and empty glasses before loading. No pre-rinsing under running water needed.
- Arrange crockery securely, with openings facing downwards.
- Lids, handles, trays, and frying pans must not obstruct sprayer arms.
- Place small items in the cutlery basket.
- Place very soiled dishes and pans in the lower basket for stronger spray.
- Ensure sprayer arms rotate freely after loading.
Hygiene: To prevent odors and sediment, run a high-temperature program at least once a month with a teaspoon of detergent and no load.
Unsuitable Crockery:
- Wooden crockery and cutlery.
- Delicate decorated glasses, artistic handicraft, and antique crockery with non-resistant decorations.
- Synthetic materials not resistant to high temperatures.
- Copper and tin crockery.
- Crockery soiled with ash, wax, lubricating grease, or ink.
- Glass decorations and aluminum/silver pieces may change color. Some crystal objects may become opaque over time.
Damage to Glass and Crockery:
- Use only dishwasher-safe glasses and porcelain.
- Use a delicate detergent.
- Unload glasses and cutlery as soon as the wash cycle is over.
Loading the Racks
Upper Rack: Load delicate and light dishes: glasses, cups, saucers, low salad bowls.
Adjusting Upper Rack Height: The upper rack height can be adjusted for bulky crockery in the lower basket or to maximize tip-up supports. It has an adjuster (A) to lift it by holding the rack sides. To lower, press levers A at the sides. Do not adjust when loaded. Never raise or lower one side only.
Foldable Flaps with Adjustable Position: Side foldable flaps can be positioned at three heights. Wine glasses can be placed by inserting stems into slots. Incline flaps for optimum drying. To change inclination, pull up, slide, and position as desired.
Lower Rack: Load pots, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery. Place large plates and lids at the sides to avoid spray arm interference. The lower rack has tip-up supports for vertical plate arrangement or horizontal pan/salad bowl loading.
Cutlery Basket: Equipped with top grilles for improved cutlery arrangement. Position only at the front of the lower rack. Place knives and sharp utensils with points downwards or horizontally in the upper rack's tip-up compartments.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning the Filter Assembly: Regularly clean the filter assembly to prevent clogging and ensure proper wastewater flow. The assembly consists of three filters that remove food residues. The dishwasher must not be used without filters or if a filter is loose. After several washes, check and clean the filters under running water with a non-metallic brush:
- Turn cylindrical filter A anti-clockwise and pull out (Fig 1).
- Remove cup filter B by pressing side flaps (Fig 2).
- Slide out stainless-steel plate filter C (Fig 3).
- Inspect the trap and remove food residues.
Never remove the wash-cycle pump protection (black detail) (Fig 4). After cleaning, re-place the filter assembly and fix it correctly for efficient operation.
Cleaning the Spray Arms: Food residue can encrust and block spray arm holes. Periodically check and clean arms with a small non-metallic brush. To remove the upper spray arm, turn the plastic locking ring anti-clockwise. Replace it with the side with more holes facing upwards. The lower spray arm can be removed by pulling it upwards.
Cleaning the Water Inlet Hose: If water hoses are new or unused for an extended period, let water run to clear impurities before connecting to prevent blockages and damage.
