Why is my Whirlpool Washer not draining and loads are still wet?

  Your Whirlpool Washer might not be draining properly due to several reasons. Small items may be caught in the pump or between the basket and tub, so empty pockets and use garment bags for small items. Also, the washer may be overloaded, so use a cycle with a high spin speed. Ensure the plumbing has correct drain hose installation and that you are using only HE detergent, because wrong or too much detergent can cause excessive suds, slowing down the draining and spinning. To remove extra suds, select the DRAIN & SPIN cycle.

  To improve cleaning and stain removal with your Whirlpool Washer, make sure you are using only HE detergent and selecting the correct cycle for your fabric type. A higher soil level cycle option and warmer wash temperature can also improve cleaning. Load dispensers before starting a cycle, wash like colors together, and promptly remove clothes after the cycle to prevent dye transfer. Run the Clean Washer cycle with AFFRESH™ monthly. Also, empty pockets, zip zippers, and snap or hook fasteners before washing to prevent damage. Tie all strings and straps before starting the wash. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall to avoid overloading, and do not pour liquid chlorine bleach directly onto the load.

  If your Whirlpool Washer dispenser isn't working correctly, it could be due to clogged dispensers or laundry products dispensing too soon. Always select the Fabric Softener option to ensure proper dispensing. Load dispensers before starting a cycle. Note that it is normal for small amounts of water to remain in the dispenser. Homes with low water pressure may result in residual powder in the dispenser. Use only liquid chlorine bleach in the bleach dispenser.
