How to fix a White Rodgers 1F87-361 that is not heating?
    • R
      rbowenAug 16, 2025
If you're not getting any heat from your White Rodgers Thermostat, first check that the pilot light is lit. Then, make sure the SYSTEM switch is set to HEAT and the setpoint is higher than the room temperature. Also, check that the thermostat and system wires are securely attached. If the heat works intermittently, contact the furnace manufacturer or a local service person for assistance. If the heating system requires service or thermostat requires replacement, contact your heating and cooling service person or place of purchase for a replacement.

    • L
      lisa80Aug 22, 2025
If your White Rodgers Thermostat isn't providing cool air, ensure the SYSTEM switch is set to COOL and lower the setpoint below the room temperature. Also, verify that the thermostat and system wires are securely attached. If the cooling system requires service or thermostat requires replacement, follow the same procedure as for a no heat condition, but set the thermostat to COOL and lower the setpoint below the room temperature.
