BASTING
STITCH
1.
Use
the
zigzag
foot
and
needle
plate.
2.
Set
needle
position
selector
at
extremely
left
hand
position
()
3.
Thread
the
needle
as
illustrated
below.
Loop
thread
around
the
front
of
the
needle
by
passing
the
thread
to
the
right
and
to
the
left
on
the
back
side
of
the
needle.
Then
thread
from
left
to
right.

Pick
up
lower
thread,
see
page
9.

Pull
and
down
the
lever
of
drop
feed
knob,
and
turn
the
knob
unti
clockwise
to
BA
position,
then
pull
up
the
lever
again.

lightly,
until
hole

over

feed
regulator

The
high
number
is
the
longest
stitch

thread

the
best
for
basting
and
a
tension
adjustment
may
be
required
for
light
weight
fabrics.

For
best
results
sew
at
a
slow
speed
approximately
600
to
700
stitches
per
minute
