What to do if my Whynter RPD-711DWP does not operate?
    • J
      James ElliottAug 12, 2025
Several factors can prevent your Whynter Dehumidifier from operating. First, check for a power outage and restore power if necessary. If there was no outage, inspect the switch, line fuse, or breaker, and flip the switch, change the fuse, or turn the breaker back on. Also, ensure that the power supply voltage is adequate and that the power cord is not damaged (if it is, call for service). If the unit is still not running, the dryness level you selected may have been reached, so set the unit to Continuous operation if you want to remove more moisture. Finally, ensure the drain bucket is empty and correctly positioned.

Why does my Whynter Dehumidifier run too much?
    • T
      Tina ReedAug 16, 2025
Your Whynter Dehumidifier might run excessively due to several reasons. Check if any windows or doors near the dehumidifier are open and close them. The area you are trying to dehumidify might be too large, and you may need an additional dehumidifier. Also, ensure that the air filter is clean to allow proper air movement through the unit. If the dehumidifier is set to Continuous mode, adjust it to a specific humidity level (RH%), so the appliance will stop when that level is reached.

What to do if my Whynter RPD-711DWP Dehumidifier runs but the room is not dry enough?
    • P
      paula23Aug 20, 2025
If your Whynter Dehumidifier is running but the room isn't dry enough, consider these points: * The humidity setting (RH%) might be too high. Lower it by at least 10% below the current RH%. * Ensure the dehumidifier has at least 10 inches of clearance for proper ventilation. * If the room temperature is below 41°F, the unit won't operate effectively. * Make sure that all windows and doors are closed.

Why does frost appear on the coils above the bucket in my Whynter RPD-711DWP Dehumidifier?
    • J
      Joseph ColeAug 31, 2025
If you see frost on the coils above the bucket in your Whynter Dehumidifier, it's likely normal if the unit was recently turned on. This should disappear within 60 minutes, especially when operating in temperatures below 53°F. However, if the room temperature is consistently below 41°F, the appliance will not operate satisfactorily.
