Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer.
This does not apply to the replacement of alkaline batteries.
Only use original parts (see chapter 12 “Accessories”).
9.2 Battery replacement
Damage to the instrument
To avoid possible damage to CPG1200 or to test equipment, note the following:
Always replace all three batteries together!
The battery cover must be closed and secured via three screws!
Ensure the correct polarity.
NEVER mix old and new batteries with each other.
NEVER mix alkaline batteries and rechargeable batteries with each other.
Make sure your hands are dry when inserting or replacing the batteries.
When using rechargeable batteries, it can occur that the battery display
does not correspond to the actual battery charge level due to a different
discharge curve.
Procedure
1. Turn off the instrument and lay it face down.
2. Loosen the three screws of the battery compartment, see Fig. 2 “Position of the
battery compartment”.
3. Remove the battery cover.
4. Insert the three AA-sized batteries in correct polarity.
Make sure that the polarity, (+) or (-), on the batteries matches the markings in the
battery compartment.
