If you do not wish to hear the normal ring signal of your telephone, turn it
o or turn it down. If you are unsure of how to do this, see the instruction
manual for your telephone.
The tone control comprises two controls placed under the volume control.
With the aid of the top control you can select the tone frequency for the
ring signal (marked with C, D, E and F). With the aid of the bottom con-
trol you can select the number of tone pulses each ring signal is to have
(marked with l, ll, lIl and IIII). By moving the controls up or down in their
four positions you can easily choose between 16 dierent ring tones. See
Fig. 9.
The easiest thing to do is to give it a try. Ask someone to call you up at the same time
as you select your favorite ring signal. If there are several RlNGMAX at the same
place it is best to choose the most dierent tones tones.

Connecting optional outdoor speaker
On the bottom of the RINGMAX ringer is a 3.5 mm accessory jack for use
with an optional remote speaker. See Fig 10. The remote speaker can be
installed in another room or outdoors to make it even easier to hear the
phone when it rings. For more information on the remote speaker, contact
your local dealer or hearing products provider.
