2.1 Intended use
Intended use includes observing these instructions and
the data and markings on the pump.
The temperature and flow indication is intended to facil-
itate parameter setting. Under no circumstances does
the displayed information replace regulatory inspections
to be stipulated for domestic hot water installations.
Misuse Any use beyond the intended use is considered misuse
and will result in the loss of all liability claims.
Regulations The latest versions of the following regulations must be
observed during installation:
• Accident prevention regulations
• DIN EN 806-5
• DVGW worksheet W551 and W553 (in Germany)
• VDE 0370/Part 1
• Other local regulations
High-efficiency circulation pumps of the Wilo-Stratos
PICO-Z series may only be used for pumping drinking
water in domestic hot water circulation systems in
industry and in building services.
Warning: Misuse of the pump can lead to danger-
ous situations and property damage.
• Never use non-specified fluids.
• Never allow unauthorised persons to perform work.
• Never operate the pump outside of the specified
limits of use.
• Never carry out unauthorised conversions.
• Use authorised accessories only.
• Never operate with phase angle control.
