Thermal
disinfection
With thermal disinfection, the heat generator periodi-
cally heats itself and the storage tank to a higher tem-
perature.
After 24 hours of uninterrupted operation the pump
detects this automatically by the temperature increas-
ing at least 5 °C above the maximum temperature it has
recorded.
During thermal disinfection, the pump runs at a slightly
increased speed.
The maximum running time for thermal disinfection is
4 h, followed by a blocking period of 3 h in which no new
start is possible.
Key lock (hold)
The key lock prevents unintended and unauthorised
modifications of the settings on the pump.
Note: Recommendation: Set T
min
to 5 °C lower
than the temperature of the heat generator (unless
other installation instructions specify otherwise).
Note: If the pump is switched on or the para-
meters are changed, thermal disinfection can only be
detected after 24 hours of operation. Unless the tem-
perature exceeds 75 °C: thermal disinfection is always
activated in that case.
