9Troubleshooting
Only allow qualified electricians to remedy faults on the
electrical system.
Only allow qualified specialist technicians to do other
troubleshooting and repair work.
Faults Causes Remedy
Pump is not run-
ning although
the power sup-
ply is switched
on
Electrical fuse
defective
Check fuses
Pump has no
voltage
Resolve the power interruption
Pump is running
but there is no
circulation
Circulation pipe is
not filled/vented
Fill and vent the circulation pipe
Pump making
noises
Cavitation due to
insufficient suction
pressure
Increase the system pressure within
the permissible range
Check the delivery head and set it to
a lower head if necessary
Pump is not
reaching the set
minimum tem-
perature
Storage tank tem-
perature too low
Check storage tank temperature and
increase if necessary
Taps opened Close taps and check if the pump
reaches the minimum temperature
then
Cold water flowing
into the circulation
pipe
Install non-return valves
Excessive heat
losses because
piping is not ade-
quately insulated
Insulate piping or check the insula-
tion
