Why is the full bag light on, or why does my Windsor versamatic 14 have poor suction?

  The full bag light might be on, or your Windsor Vacuum Cleaner might have poor suction, due to several reasons. It could be a full dust bag (replace the bag), a clogged hose (remove and clean the hose), a clogged neck (disconnect the floor head from the vac tank and clean the neck), the bag not properly installed (re-insert the bag correctly), clogged exhaust or motor filter (clean or replace the filter), or the back cover leaking air (re-install dust bag, motor filter and back cover to ensure tight fit all around).

What to do if the brush isn’t turning on my Windsor versamatic 14?

  If the brush isn’t turning, it could be due to several reasons: the hose nozzle may not be far enough into the neck (reposition the hose nozzle into the neck), the brush may be jammed (turn off the machine, clear the brush, and restart), the brush strip may not be fully inserted (push the brush strip in all the way), or the belt may be broken (replace the belt).

  The machine might not turn on due to a faulty electrical circuit. In this case, have the machine checked by a qualified service person.

  If the full bag light is off when the vacuum hose is blocked or the bag is full, the sensor may be out of adjustment. Remove the back door and use a small screwdriver to turn the screw behind the light counter-clockwise.

  The red light may stay on at the lowest brush setting (#1) because the brush is worn. Replace the brush strip to resolve this issue.
