5.Checkeventakeoffposition
Thisisanautomatedtest.WingtraPilotcheckswhetherWingtraOneisstandingonevenground.Move
WingtraOneifthecheckisred.IfWingtraOneislevelandthecheckstaysred,repowerWingtraOne.
6.Turnontheremotecontrol
SwitchontheRContheOn/OffbuttoninthemiddleoftheRC.Afterswitchingiton,itautomatically
connectstoWingtraOneandyoucanseetheRCbatterychargeandthesignalstrenghtoftheconnection
onthetopleftoftheRCscreen.
Thischeckisnotyetautomated,confirmbyclickingthecheckpointinthechecklist.
7.CheckGPSsignals
Thisisanautomatedtest.Dependingonweather,itcanhappenthatyourWingtraOnedoesnotreceive
GPSlockforseveralminutes.IfGPSlockcannotbeestablishedaftermorethan5minutes,trytorepower
WingtraOne.Ifyoustillfailtoestablishconnection,openthebatterycoverandseeifthecabletotheGPS
moduleiswellconnected.Ifyoustillfailtogetreception,chatwiththeWingtraSupport.
8.Calibrateairspeed
Takethepitotcoveringoutofthepilotboxandcoverthepitottubewithit.Startairspeedcalibrationby
clickingonthecheckpointinthechecklist.Youwillreceivetheinstruction"Ensuresensorisnot
measuringwind".WaituntilyouheartheconfirmationofWingtraPilot:"Blowintopitottubewithout
touching".Then,removethepitotcoveringandblowstraightintothetube.
IfAirspeedcalibrationfails,youcanrestartitbyclickingontotherespectivecheckpointagain.Youhaveto
blowdirectlyintothetube.
InwindyweatherconditionstheAirspeedcalibrationcanfailfrequently.Toavoidfrequentretrialsshield
thepitottubewithyourhandfromwindbyformingacylinderaroundthetubewhenblowingintoitfrom
thetop.
9.PressReady-To-FlybuttononyourWingtraOne
YoumakeWingtraOnereadytoflybypressingtheReady-to-Flybuttonfor2seconds.Therewillbea
confirmationsoundandtheReady-to-Flybuttonwillstarttoblinkwithdoubleblinks(--------).By
makingWingtraOnereadytofly,youallowforsignalstothemotorsandflaps,andstartaroutinethat
checksthecamerabytakingsometestpictures.Thispointinthechecklistisanautomatedtest.
