Terminology:FlightModeandFlightRegime
TheflightmodedefinesifWingtraOneisflyingautonomously(Auto),ifyouareflyinginAssisted
Mode,orifReturn-to-Home(RTH),isengaged.
TheflightregimeofWingtraOneiseitherHoverorCruise.Hoveristheverticalmodethatisusedduring
takeoffandlanding,Cruiseisthehorizontal,forwardflightmode,whereWingtraOneflieslikeafixed-wing
aircraft.

AutoMode
ThisisthenormalmodeinwhichWingtraOnefliestheplannedflightautonomouslyfromtakeoffto
landing.
Return-to-Home(RTH)
EngageRTHifyourealizesomethingiswrongandyouwantWingtraOnetocomebackautonomously.If
RTHisengaged,WingtraOnefliesbacktotheplannedloitercircleonitscurrentflightaltitude.Itthen
loitersdowntotheplannedtransitionaltitude,fliesbacktotheHomepoint,transitionsabovetheHome
pointandlands.Formoredetails,seethefailsafeschapter.
AssistedMode
YoucanflyWingtraOnemanuallyinAssistedMode.SwitchtoAssistedModebeforelanding(afterback-
transition)toadjustthelandingpointifnecessary.
EngagetheAssistedModebypressingtherespectivebuttonontheremotecontrol(RC).Theflight
regimewillstayasitwasbeforeyouswitchedtoAssistedMode,i.e.,ifyouengageAssistedModeduring
cruiseflight,youwilltakeoverincruise,andifyouengageAssistedModeduringhoverflight,youwill
takeoverinhoverflight.
IfyouflyinAssistedMode,youcantransitionbetweenthetwoflightregimeswiththetransitionbuttonon
yourremotecontrol.Seethesectionaboutmanualflyingforadetaileddescriptionofhowtoflywiththe
remotecontrol.
