MECHANICAL BOARD RETURN RETROFIT
See Table 1. This optional mechanical board return can be installed to any 1997 and newer
model LT30, LT40, LT30HD or LT40HD. Use the appropriate kit depending on model, manufac-
turing date and clutch configuration as shown below.
Board Return Arm Installation
1. Raise the saw head so the area under the engine/motor can easily be accessed. Turn the key to
the OFF (#0) position and remove the key. Remove the blade from the sawmill if applicable
before proceding.
WARNING! Before performing service near moving parts such as blades,
pulleys, motors, belts and chains, first turn the key switch to the OFF (#0)
position and remove the key. If the key is turned on and moving parts acti-
vated, serious injury may result.
WARNING! Remove the blade before performing any service to the
engine or sawmill. Failure to do so may result in serious injury.
2. Autoclutch Option only: Remove the lower belt auxiliary guard plate from the saw head.
3. Manual Clutch only: Remove the lower drive belt guard from the saw head.
