Placing the Stabilizers
Set the stabilizers to remove weight from the rear wheels. The wheels are to remain touching
the ground as this provides for the widest stabilizer stance and the lowest center of gravity.
Raising the wheels off the ground will not only reduce stability and digging depth, but will
perform and impose unnecessary stress on the tractor, top link, and the backhoe attachment.
GENERAL OPERATIONGENERAL OPERATION
Lower the stabilizers until they carry the weight of the backhoe. If the tractor has a front loader,
lower the loader lift arms until weight is removed from the tractor’s tires. Use the front loader
and the stabilizer feet to level the backhoe before usage.
