Storage
At the end of the working season or when the backhoe attachment will not be used
for a long period, it is a good practice to clean off any dirt that may have accumulated
on the backhoe and any of the moving parts. Apply a coat of grease to the cylinder
rods to prevent rust.
• Detach and store the backhoe attachment in an area where children normally do
not play. Secure by using blocks and supports.
• Clean as necessary.
• Check pivot pins for wear and replace if necessary.
• Inspect the backhoe for loose, damaged or worn parts and adjust or replace as
needed. Do not forget to check the safety labels. Replace worn labels.
• Store unit inside if possible for longer life. Alternatively, cover with a tarp to reduce
exposure and prevent weather damage.
• Repaint parts where paint is worn or scratched to prevent rust.
