9. Device support
For IDE CD-ROM:
1. ATAPI compatible CD/DVD-ROM reader.
Note: The default CD write speed on controller card is set to
32X due to poor reading performance on normal
CD/DVD-ROM reader. If higher write speed is required,
please install a hard drive and then copy from the hard
drive to CD-R.
For IDE DVD-ROM:
1. ASUS E616p2/E616p3
2. ATAPI compatible DVD-ROM reader
Note: Normal ATAPI DVD-ROM reader can roughly reach 6X
of DVD burning. If with 8X burning, the speed will not be
reached enough for on-the-fly direct burning. For ASUS
E616p2/p3 that supports the UDMA100 transfer mode,
8X of on-the-fly direct burning can be reached, if the
UDMA66 feature activated on controller card.
