Troubleshooting
If Yale Durus does not work, try connecting a power bank or
compatible smartphone with a USBC cable (A), to wake up
the lock. This should restart the lock if the settings remain.
Lock test
With the door open, press and hold down the triggerbolt (B). Then turn
the thumb turn to lock. If the lock works as normal in this mode, there
is probably something in the door environment preventing the lock
from locking. Most likely, the gap between the lock and striker
is greater than the recommended 3 mm. Unlock before releasing
the triggerbolt.
Cannot lock:
• The recommended door gap is 3 mm.
• Check cables for damage or breakage.
• Make sure the connectors are fully engaged and that the pins
in the connectors are not damaged or incorrectly positioned.
The door alarm is activated when the door is closed:
• The recommended door gap is 3 mm.
Because doors expand and contract in changing weather, adjust door
gap as necessary using the hinges or spacers on the striker.
Changing weather conditions can affect your door
Rapidly changing outdoor temperatures during spring and autumn
may cause your door to shift, which may in turn cause door gap to
increase. In order for Yale Durus to work, the recommended door
gap is 3 mm. Should your Yale Durus fail to lock, you may need to
adjust door gap.
• If the cylinder is fitted on the outside, it is always possible to lock even
if door gap is temporarily too great.
• Also, it is always possible to lock from the inside by using the thumb turn.
