Fit the flushing attachment (option) in
position on the lower casing, with rubber
cups covering the water intake opening.
The attachment must be installed from
the front of the lower casing. Connect a
garden hose between the flushing attach-
ment and the water tap. Next, shift into
NEUTRAL, and start the engine while sup-
plying water, then keep it running at low
speed for a few minutes.

Never operate the engine even momen-
tarily without running cooling-water.
Either the water pump will get damaged
or the engine will overheat. Before start-
ing the engine, be sure to install the
flushing attachment and feed water.

Before using the flushing attachment,
remove the propeller. Keep yourself and
others away from the propeller shaft.
