  Buzzing or static during AM broadcasts on your Yamaha Home Theater System can be caused by interference from sources like lightning, fluorescent lights, electric motors, or the thermostat of a nearby electrical appliance, or if a TV or microprocessor is being used nearby. This problem is difficult to eliminate but can be lessened by grounding MW/LW (AM) loop antenna. Also move away from TV or microprocessor.

  If the AM broadcast sensitivity is poor on your Yamaha Home Theater System, the radio signal may be weak, or the antenna isn't properly connected. Properly connect the MW/LW (AM) loop antenna. You can also try changing the orientation of the MW/LW (AM) loop antenna or installing an external MW/LW (AM) antenna.
