  If your Yamaha Receiver isn't producing sound or picture, check the following: * Ensure all input and output cables are correctly connected. If the problem continues, the cables may be defective. * Select the correct input source using the INPUT SELECTOR or TAPE/MD MON / EXT. DECODER buttons. * Make sure the speaker connections are secure. * Verify that SPEAKERS are set to the ON position for the speakers you're using. * Check that the sound isn't muted by adjusting the VOLUME and pressing MUTE. * Confirm the unit can reproduce the signals from the source you are using.
