2. PRE-OPERATION PROCEDURES
Before using exhaust damper for ventilated operation, take proper measures to assure
adequate work area ventilation. Failure to do so may cause excessive work area temperatures
due to exhaust heat. Likewise, smoke and other harmful fumes may be emitted into work area
from samples in process. Implement proper ventillation, such as by installing an exhaust hood
or by running a proper duct from the exhaust port.
