.A
CAUTION
IMPORTANT:
DO
NOT
OVERFILL!
This equipment and/or its engine may include
evaporative
emissions
control
system
components,
required
to meet
EPA
and/or
CARB
regulations,
that
will only function properly
when
the fuel tank
has
been
filled to the recommended
level.
Overfilling
may cause permanent damage
to evaporative
emissions
control
system
components.
Filling to the
recommended
level
ensures
a vapor
gap
required to
allow for fuel
expansion.
Pay
close
attention while
filling
the
fuel
tank to
ensure
that
the
recommended
fuel/eve/ inside the tank
is
not
exceeded.
Use
a
portable gasoline container with
an
appropriately
sized
dispensing
spout
when
filling the
tank.
Do
not
use
a funnel or other
device
that obstructs
the
view
of
the
tank filling
process.
3.
Reinstall the fuel
cap
and
tighten it. Always clean up spilled
fuel.
ADJUSTING
TRIMMING
HEIGHT
The height
of
the cut
can
be
set
to
five different positions ranging
from 1.5 inches
to
3.5 inches. Higher positions are useful when
trimming tall grass
or
in conditions where frequent objects
(rocks, small limbs) are on the ground. Lower positions provide a
more finished appearance. Recommended cutting height
for
the
average yard
is
2 inches.
1.
To
adjust the trimming height,
push
the trimmer head height
adjusting plate tab in towards the
axis,
holding on and moving
the trimmer head up
or
down
to
the desired position.
If
the
head will not disengage, slightly rotate the head while pushing
the height adjusting plate tab.
(See
Figure
7a,
illustration 1 &
2)
2.
Release
the tab
and
be
sure the trimmer
head
is
locked into one
of
the 5 height positions.
