DEPTH-OF-FIELD
When
you
locus
the
camera
on
a
subject
there
is
a
certain
distance
in
Iront
and
back

the
subject
within
which
other
object
wil
l
also
appear
sharp.
This
is
know
as
the
"Depth-ol-Field",
and
it
varies
with
the
lens
aperture.
The
smaller
the
aperture
the
greater
the
Depth-ol
Field;
it
is
much
large'
at

at

At
the
locusing
knob
is
a
scale
which
will
indicate
the
Depth-ol
Field
when
the
camera
is
locused
at
various
distances.
You
will
notice
that
an
either
side

which
represent
lens
apertures.
When
the
camera
is
locused
on
your
subject
look

the
aperture
you
are
using an
either

scale
to
determine
the
Depth-ol-Field.

You
can
also
use
the
depth-ol-neld
scale
to
use
your
Yoshico as a
fixed-focus
camera.
In
this
case
set
the
innnity
mark
on
the
distance
scale
opposite
the
lens
aperture
being
used. If
the
aperture

you
will
notice
that
all
objects
Irom
about
25
leet
to
in

nity
will
be
sharp.
