CRANK OPERATION
Note:
The Yashica MAT-LM transport employs a nne, precision mechanism,
constructed to provided years of trouble-free performance. Like
an y nne instrument it shc>uld be treated with core and re spec t.
The f ,lIowing are recommended,
a. O perate the n'm transport cronk gantly. It is important
that the c!ockw 'se, Aim-advancing stroke of the cro nk be tlrsr
completed before it is brought bock.
b. In klOd'-g the '!Im, be sure that the paper leader is inserted
ill t he toke l'p 'P )01 so that the Aim will draw evenly .
III Wind the cronk c lockwise until it
comes to a stop. The letter '5' will
have disappeared and NO .1 will appear
in the Film Counter Window,
1 21 Then wind the Cronk counter-clock-
wise until it stops. You are ready to
snap your nrst picture.
For subsequent exposu res a smooth pen-
duium swing, Arst downward to sto p and
then upward to stop, ad vances the Aim
and cocks the shutter simu l taneously.
IAI The dowoward wind advances the
nlm and moves L'P th e number of the
next nlm in the Film Counter Window.
IBI The upward w ind cocks t he shutter.
ICI The position of the Cronk when
it is nipped bock into its rest after
your pictures have been token .
The shutter shou'd not be kept cocked
Whe n not in use because it weakens the
shutter spring and there is the possi-
bility you may unkn owingly press the
shutter button and waste a Aim.
