MOTORCYCLE STORAGE
Storage Procedures
If you are planning to store your Mini-Motorbike for a minimum of one month, please adhere to the
following guidelines:
1. Thoroughly clean the entire Mini-Motorbike.
2. Lubricate the drive chain and control cables as instructed in the Tables of
Scheduled Maintenance in the Owner’s Manual.
3. Start and run the engine for approximately five minutes. Switch off the engine and
drain the old engine oil.
4. Using of fresh MINERVA OIL oil type 10W40 (recommended), refill the crankcase
all the way up to the filler cap hole.
5. Postpone in the board page 116 to know the quantity of engine oil to be put according
to your model of motorbike
6. .Empty both the fuel and carburettor tanks. This will reduce the chances of the fuel becoming
contaminated.
7. Empty the carburettor into an approved petrol container (check with local authorities regarding
used fuel disposal obligations).
8. Remove the spark plug. Spray fogging oil directly into the cylinder and kick the engine over a few
times so that the cylinder gets coated. Re-install the spark plug.
9. Place the Mini-Motorbike on a center stand or box so that the tires do not touch the floor. If you
cannot get a stand easily to prop up your Mini-Motorbike, then place some wooden boards under
the tyres.
