Function Description
The YL71E is an intelligent digital display designed for e-bikes, providing essential information and control functionalities to the rider. Its primary function is to display real-time riding data such as speed, battery level, and unit indicators, enhancing the user's riding experience and safety. The display automatically powers on and starts working when the e-bike is turned on, and it shuts down and stops working when the e-bike is turned off, with a very low leakage current of less than 1uA.

Display Interface:
The display features a clear interface with several indicators:
- Battery level indicator: Shows the remaining battery charge through a segmented display.
- Speed indicator: Displays the real-time speed in km/h.
- Unit indicator: Specifies the unit of speed (km/h).
Wiring Sequence (Standard Connector):
The display connects to the e-bike system via a standard connector with the following wiring:
- Wiring sequence 1 (Red (VCC)): Power wire of display.
- Wiring sequence 2 (Blue (RX)): Phase line speed measurement / Hall speed measurement / Communication receiving wire.
- Wiring sequence 3 (Black (GND)): Ground wire of display.
The outgoing lines of some products adopt waterproof connectors, and users cannot see the outgoing line color inside the wire harnesses.
Usage Features
General Operation:
- Power on / off: To turn on the display, simply power on the e-bike. The display will automatically activate. To turn off the display, power off the e-bike, and the display will shut down.
- Speed indicator: After the display is turned on, it will show the real-time speed (km/h) by default.
Battery Level Indicator:
The battery level indicator consists of nine segments. When the battery is fully charged, all nine segments will be on. In case of undervoltage, the last segment of the battery indicator will flash, indicating that the battery needs to be charged immediately. The manual provides a visual interface for different battery levels, from full battery to undervoltage flashing, showing how many segments are illuminated for 8-segment, 7-segment, 6-segment, 5-segment, 4-segment, 3-segment, 2-segment, and 1-segment indications.
Speed Acquisition Modes:
The YL71E supports multiple speed acquisition modes to ensure compatibility with various e-bike configurations:
- Acquisition Mode 1: Hall speed measurement method, using instrument output line three core (Power wire VCC, Ground wire GND, Hall speed measurement signal H).
- Acquisition Mode 2: Motor phase line speed measurement mode (reserved-according to the motor phase line voltage change simulation speed display). This mode uses three output core wires of the instrument (Power wire VCC, Ground wire GND, Phase line speed measurement signal A).
- Acquisition Mode 3: One-line communication protocol (reserved), using instrument outbound three-core wire (Power wire VCC, Ground wire GND, Communication receiving RX).

- Warranty information:
- For faults caused by the quality of the product under normal use, the company will be responsible for providing limited warranty during the warranty period.
- The warranty period of the product is within 12 months from delivery.
Non-warranty scope:
The warranty does not cover the following conditions:
- The enclosure is opened.
- The connector is damaged.
- The enclosure is scratched or damaged after delivery.
- The outgoing line of the display is scratched or broken.
- Faults or damage caused by force majeure (such as fires, earthquakes, etc.) or natural disasters (such as lightning strikes, etc.).
- The warranty period has expired.
Considerations for Use and Maintenance:
- Users should safely use, and not plug or unplug the display when it is powered on.
- Avoid bumping as far as possible.
- Please do not alter the background parameter settings of the display at will, otherwise normal riding cannot be guaranteed.
- If the display fails to work normally, it should be repaired as soon as possible.
