3. Product loading
Proper air circulation inside the insulated cell is essential to maintain the quality of the goods during transport. This
ensures a uniform temperature distribution within the whole cell. If the air can not circulate freely around the load,
you may create zones of heat or ice formations.
We recommend the use of pallets. When these are loaded, favoring the free circulation of air, and his return in the
evaporator, help protect the goods from the heat that passes through the floor of the trailer. When using pallets, it
is important not to stack other boxes on the floor in the back of the cell, since the latter can prevent air circulation.
The stacking is another important factor in the protection of goods. The products that generate heat, such as fruit
and vegetables, need to be stacked, leaving sufficient space for air circulation so as to allow the removal of the
heat generated; this process is called "stacking ventilated".
Goods which do not generate heat, such as meat and frozen products, should instead be stacked next to each
other at the center of the cell. All goods must be kept away from the walls of isothermal to allow air to circulate
between the cell and the load; this prevents heat from the outside of the walls of damaging the goods. It
'important to check the temperature of goods during loading, to make sure that they are at the correct
temperature during transport. The refrigeration system is designed to maintain the temperature of the goods to
the level of the loading temperature; the system is not suitable for cooling hot products.
SOME ADVICES
Before loading
Cool in advance the interior of the cell proceeding to a reduction of the temperature for about 15 minutes.
Eliminate the moisture inside the cell by activating a manual defrost. This operation is possible only if the cell
temperature is less than 5°C.
The evaporator fans are protected by security grills. In case of intensive use of the system, on them could
accumulate ice. It is therefore recommended to clean them regularly with a small brush. The operation MUST
be performed after the system has been turned OFF.
During loading
This must be done when the unit is switched off.
It is recommended to minimize the times of opening of the doors to prevent the entry of hot air and moisture.
Select the temperature using the thermostat depending on the transported goods.
Check the temperature inside the products that you are loading (needle thermometer)
ATTENTION!!!
In the phases of parking the vehicle, it is recommended to position the cell on shade.
Never leave the unit swithched off for more than a month.
Do not cover the air intake openings of the evaporating coil and
the ventilation ducts..
Mind the gap approximately:
- 6 - 8 cm between the load and the front wall;
- 20 cm between the top of load and the roof;
- A few cm between the floor and the load (pallet).
Do not forget to close the doors.
Before closing the doors, re-check the load and make sure that
nobody is still inside the cell.
