3.15 Expansion valve
The thermostatic expansion valve regulates the injection of coolant into the evaporators.
3.15.1 Expansion valve adjustment.
To regulate the expansion valve, operate as follows:
• Connect a pressure gauge to the evaporator output line
• Operate the unit in cold mode
• Measure the temperature near the valve probe

• Turn clockwise to increase the overheating, or anticlockwise to decrease it.
CAUTION
If overheating in the evaporator is too high, this may be due to low supply of liquid
coolant, therefore a low charge of coolant.
NOTE
For the default value, turn 3 turns clockwise from the closed position.
